ok, since this tribe isn't exactly hopping...

1. What is your favorite Crispin Glover movie and why?
2. And on the flip side, worst Crispin movie and why?

My answers would have to be Rubin and Ed, mainly for the quote "My cat can eat a whole watermelon", and Charlie's Angels 2 for the worst, since they brought his character back just to kill him off again.

    1. "At least I'm not a fraud... a fraud failure like you! You have to admit that- you're a failure, Ed! (errr, something like that)

I'm just glad people actually appreciate 'Rubin and Ed'.

    2. Worst Crispin film? I havn't seen Cha's Angels 2... maybe that's it.

Believe it or not, if you separate the Crispin part from the rest of the movie, you're in for some fine entertainment. He even has a substantial screaming fit in one scene (must be written into his contracts or something). His appearance in the first Chuck's Angels movie made me sad, though. Sorely underused. Of course, I'm sadder to think that I've seen both Charlie's Angels movies. Woe.

...My cat can eat a whole watermelon.

BTW - Note to the rest of yas: Nihilend introduced me to the flick. Tanks NaNa!

PS: to Nana - SKIP CA2. It's bad...really really bad. You know those movies that even if it was free you feel like it wasted your life and you want to throttle the producers for wasting it and insulting you? Well...I think that's why they call it FULL Throttle!

Well, the best is a three way race between Willard, Back to the Future and the first Charlie's Angels(the movie wasn't great, but it was fun and he was easily the best part)
the worst: Like Mike. Man that movie sucked ass.
Bartleby was solid. I really wish I could find it for cheap on DVD

    1. damn... i think i have a tie for first... and i will give my reasons...
    a) Back to the Future.... this one's awesome cause Crispin is so hot (watching this movie at a young age gave me a predilection for cute dorky guys)
    b) My Tutor (for the dominatrix/whorehouse scene and the cheesy music)
    2. Like Mike is the Biggest Piece of Crap I've Ever Seen!!!!

PS. I have never seen Rubin and Ed (quick! someone save me!)

      Nice job, Charmaine.

I haven't seen all the ones people think are crappy. I like River's Edge, Willard, My Tutor, etc.

Wish he had a bigger role in Dead Man (one of my favorite movies ever) & Wild at Heart. Wish Bartelby wasn't trying so hard to be an "art" film and not really succeeding. Wish that Doors movie didn't suck so bad (except for the peyote scene).

I can't believe you people actually watched Like Mike.

thank you joe! *sheepish smile and uncoordinated curtsy*

i wish i had the chance to see rubin and ed *sigh*

haha... as for like mike.... I hid it in the pile of video and candy i got from Blockbuster... i was sooo ashamed. i saw crispin's name on it and had to check it out. little did i know that he was like a male mrs. hannigan (remember annie??? i am so damn old....).

i agree... i wish he had a bigger role in dead man. Bartleby was fun but you're right in terms of the suck ass attempts at artsy fartsiness.

i did like the crispin scene in the doors.... damn i should have included this in my favorite quote response... the one about having a telephone and talking to god.

did anyone remember him in nurse betty??? i love crispy but that match up was not so good...

has anyone seen little noises? i like that one. i have it on VHS somewhere in the house i think...

        enough of me...

so last night i watched "fast sofa." crispin was great, but couldn't they have afforded a little bit better fake walleyed contact lens? i could see his freakin' real eye underneath that thing.

if i didn't know crispin was in that movie, i probably would've turned it off. (and i'm a big fan of b movies, and have seen my share of direct to the rental bin stuff).

i had to watch the bird store scene twice. it was worth watching the movie just for that scene, really. crucial.
